Hi, I'm a bit perplexed and frustrated because with the majority of the anagram speed words it doesn't accept your anagram even when it is valid. Does anyone know the reason for this? :)
it's broken? I don't play those anagram games anymore. sorry!
The only game we CL's have any control over is the anagram mania. The rest are autogenerated.
can you give me an example of what's happening? preferably live so I can test and see if I get the same issue?
I can't think of a word in particular, but with Anagram Speed I have put in correct words found in the dictionary and have them not be accepted. I just presume it depends on the dictionary used for the basis of the game. It might be a British English dictionary, for example.
In this case, the issues were with common words that should be in there. We tested the issue and it accepted the same word from me. We're thinking maybe a case of entering in an anagram while the site is blipping may possibly trigger that error.
Again, if anyone else experiences this, if you can qn me when it happens, it will help us test/try and pinpoint what may be going on. But at this time, it does not seem to be a site bug.
I've noticed Speed Wordd doesn't give out the thousand points for the cash word, all the time. Am I the only one noticing that?

I've never even checked. I assumed that the initial 100 pts and the bonus points were added automatically.
Guess I need to be more diligent.
on the subject of anagrams, is their any way of turning off the messages you get when you get a correct anagram.
messages like " that's a lot of letters!", or " that's a big word!". i'm usually thinking something like, oh, is it?. (especially if it's a word with like 3 letters in it)
i can't really find the term for what i mean, but it seems to me at least that some of those messages are rather childish.
why can't we just have, such and such is a valid anagram, nothing else
at least that seems more mature

But seriously, yes i have noticed that and its frustrating but sometimes if i wait it
seems to except it later.
things like capitalizing and adding spaces can throw it off.
